Lubbock TV Station Owner Celebrates 10 Years, Publicly Traded Company

Nexstar Broadcasting Group, owner of KLBK television and operator of KAMC television in Lubbock, celebrated 10 years of being a publicly traded company Tuesday.
LUBBOCK, TX AND NEW YORK, NY – Nexstar Broadcasting Group, owner of KLBK television and operator of KAMC television in Lubbock, celebrated 10 years of being a publicly traded company Tuesday.

Chairman and CEO Perry Sook rang the NASDAQ opening bell Tuesday morning in New York.

Sook said, “Since we started the company in Wilkes Barre and Scranton [Pennsylvania] in 1996 with one TV station, it’s amazing to think now that we’ve grown to a group of 102 TV stations around the country.”
