Striping work requires Marsha Sharp Freeway flyover closures
WHAT: Night-time Marsha Sharp Freeway (MSF) flyover closures to allow for striping work
WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 8, and Monday, Sept. 9
WHERE: MSF direct connector (flyover) to southbound West Loop 289
EVENT: The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is scheduled to restripe the MSF flyover, connecting the freeway to southbound West Loop 289. Restriping work is expected to take two nights to complete.
The freeway flyover will close at 7 p.m. both nights to allow crews to safely remove then restripe the roadway. The Sunday, Sept. 8, evening operation to remove the striping is expected to take several hours to complete with the flyover reopening to traffic by 7:30 a.m. Monday morning. The Monday, Sept. 9, evening restriping operation is expected to take two to three hours to complete.
Motorists will be detoured via the MSF frontage roads to connect with southbound West Loop 289. Work will take place weather permitting.
