One Person Dead Following Semi-Truck Accident In East Lubbock County

Law enforcement officers and paramedics from several agencies are on the scene of a fatal accident involving a semi-truck.

(LUBBOCK, TX) - Law enforcement officers and paramedics from several agencies were on the scene of a fatal accident involving a semi-truck until 7:30 am Wednesday morning.

It happened around 2:15 Wednesday morning at the intersection of East FM 40 and FM 400.

Crews on the scene tell us an 18 wheeler carrying cotton, collided with a white pick-up truck after the pick-up failed to yield at a stop sign.

The driver of the pick-up, 61 year old Bobby D. Luman, was pronounced dead on the scene according to police he was not wearing his seat belt.

The driver of the semi-truck, 71 year old Jerry Allen Judkins of Lubbock, was taken to Covenant Medical Center with minor injuries.
