LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 24 Texas Tech soccer team (1-0-0) returns to Lubbock for its 2013 home opener on Sunday afternoon. First kick for the match is scheduled for 1 p.m. as the Red Raiders face Colorado State at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
Texas Tech is coming off a dramatic 1-0 shutout victory at New Mexico Friday night where senior Jessica Disabella connected on the game-winner in the 86th minute.
Texas Tech head football coach Kliff Kingsbury will be in attendance for a ceremonial first kick, and to throw out autographed footballs.
Disabella's score Friday night marked her eighth career goal and her fifth game-winner. Texas Tech went 9-1 at home last season where they outscored opponents 23-6. Sunday's match will be the first of five-straight at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
