The Cooper Lady Pirates are looking to make a strong case for winning district 2-3A but coach Chuck Darden and his Shallowater Fillies will, no doubt have something to say about that, they beat Bushland on Tuesday Night, and the Boys were trying to follow suit.
The Mustangs came out with a seven point lead, but Bushland came out hot, as Colter Cornelious knocked down a jumper from the corner to make it a four point game.
Bushland got as close as one, until Shallowater responded as Preston Scott dished to Michael Bailey who went up strong to make it 35-31.
Shallowater stretched the lead back out to five when Taylor Cornelius took it to the rack by him self to make it 39-36.
But the Mustangs were too strong down the stretch as Bailey, in traffic, found Westin Elliot, who knocked down the open jumper to get the lead back to five. As the Shallowater Boys went on to win it by a final of 57-49.
