South Pains Food Bank Wreck Hunger Drive a Success

After 30 hours at Market Street collecting food donations the Wreck Hunger Drive passed their goal of 3,500 pounds of food
The South Plains Food Bank and Texas Tech students can rest now after a 30 hour drive to gather food for the South Plains Food Bank.

Volunteers grilled and played washers at the Market Street at 19th & Quaker for 30 hours to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the South Plains Food Bank.

You were entered into a raffle with a donation of 3 non perishable food items.

Lyn Garcia of the South Plains Food Banks said the initial goal was 3,5000 pounds of food but they increased the goal to 10,000 pounds once they passed 3,500 early on.

Texas Tech Athletes and Coach Kliff Kingsbury also came out to show their support.
