Tech Grad Becomes President, CEO of SPS

A Lubbock native will soon be the President and CEO of Southwestern Public Service Company, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy.
AMARILLO, TX -- A Lubbock native will soon be the President and CEO of Southwestern Public Service Company, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy.   Effective December 31, David Hudson will take over the job that Riley Hill leaves behind.  Hill will relocate to Denver to become a Vice President of Xcel.

Hudson is a licensed engineer and a graduate of Texas Tech, and also holds a master’s degree in business administration from West Texas A&M.  He began his career as a rate engineer in SPS’s rates and regulation department in 1983.
