LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech softball program announces changes to its fall slate Tuesday as the Red Raiders will now open their schedule Thursday afternoon in a 4 p.m. doubleheader against Odessa College at Rocky Johnson Field.
Tech and Odessa were originally set to face each other next Tuesday (Oct. 8) in a single game. The Red Raiders were also scheduled to face Lubbock Christian earlier in the day.
The Odessa College doubleheader on Thursday will be two of four games for the Red Raiders this week as Tech will travel to face Weatherford College and Abilene Christian Saturday afternoon in Abilene.
The Red Raiders also have a pair of games against Howard College on Oct. 11 and Oct. 15. The Oct. 15 game will be the first in a doubleheader as Tech will also face Lubbock Christian later in the afternoon.
Tech closes its fall slate of eight exhibition games on Oct. 22 in a 7 p.m. first pitch against West Texas A&M.
