LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women’s golf team looks to continue its recent success against some of the best competition in college golf when the Lady Raiders tee off Saturday morning at the Schooner Fall Classic at the Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla.
The Lady Raiders are coming off their first tournament win of the season after taking the team title at the Challenge at Onion Creek as well as the top two individual spots with junior Elin Arvidsson winning her first collegiate tournament. Sophomore Kimmy Hill took second place.
Arvidsson has a 73.3 stroke average so far through her last six rounds of play, shooting under par in two of her last three including a career-low 67 at Onion Creek.
The group will now look to play well on the longer, par-70 Belmar course that will measure 6,082 yards.
Tech will compete against No. 9 Arizona State, Denver, Florida State, No. 17 Georgia, Kent State, No. 22 Kentucky, LSU, No. 3 Oklahoma, No. 6 Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, and Texas State.
The Lady Raiders tee off with Kentucky and Texas State beginning at 9:50 a.m. CT with redshirt freshman Victoria Uresti, followed by senior Hannah Arnold, junior Stephanie Bertelsen, Hill and Arvidsson.
