The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

On Wednesdays, the Red Raider Nation has a newly added segment called Legends of the Game, followed by The Last Call on Thursdays; but now we have a brand new segment brought to you by Pharr RV called The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, where we tell you, well, the good, the bad and the ugly of each week.

Obviously, the start of football practice would easily be this week's great, but for the good, two former Red Raider baseball studs are called up to the Majors. Roger Kieschnick joins the San Francisco Giants, while Chad Bettis gets to be a Colorado Rockie.

The bad, well, as you know, Bettis was called up but he did not do so well in his debut, allowing five runs on six hits with one strikeout and five walks. He also gave up a pair of two-run homeruns; probably first-game nerves.

And we are going to have fun with the ugly. Though Red Raider Beau Carpenter is a handsome guy, we've got to give him some what of a hard for trying to pull off a new Joe-Dirt type of style, as he's rockin the mullet with some neat lines on the side.
