LUBBOCK, TX (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Texas Tech School of Music Graduate Brass Quintet will be presenting their annual Fall Recital on November 15th in Hemmle Recital Hall at 8:00 P.M. The recital hall is located on the Texas Tech Campus at 18th and Boston Ave in Lubbock and is free to the public. Composers featured in the recital include Libby Larsen, Don Carlo Gesualdo, Kerry Turner, Robert Bradshaw, and Eric Ewazen.

The Graduate Brass Quintet is comprised of members from all over the United States and all members receive fellowships to perform in this prestigious group. The members also represent The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra (LSO) as the LSO Educational Brass Quintet. Through this endeavor the quintet travels to various elementary schools in the Lubbock area presenting educational concerts. Each member educates the audience about their specific instrument as well as the music being performed, enlightening future music students about chamber music and brass instrumentation. In addition, the group performs at several retirement facilities in the area, providing community service and entertainment to the elderly.

The programmed music for this recital is a diverse and high-energy collection encompassing a demanding tour de force for the ensemble. The music will bring forth happiness, sadness, intensity, honor, and celebration. This is a concert not to be missed!
