Two Arrested, Armed Robbery of Lubbock Wal-Mart

Police say when confronted by a Wal-Mart employee, one of suspects displayed a handgun.

LUBBOCK, TX – Lubbock Police arrested two robbery suspects Thursday morning.  Police say officers were called to the Wal-Mart at 702 West Loop 289 at about 9:00 AM.  They say two men stole merchandise from the store and when confronted by a Wal-Mart employee one of suspects displayed a handgun. 

Police say the men then drove away in stolen car, which was spotted just a few minutes later at the 1911 Marsha Sharp Freeway location of Wal-Mart.  Officers arrested both men at the second store. 

Arthur Willingham, 34 and James Leyva, 31, were both taken to jail on charges of aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
