Two Arrested In Unsolved Murder Investigation

Nearly five years after an unsolved murder case in Gaines County, two people have been arrested in the murder of Robert Glen Bryant.

Nearly five years after an unsolved murder case in Gaines County, two people have been arrested in the murder of Robert Glen Bryant.

A recent press release indicates Sheriff Ronny Pimpkin assigned his investigators to the "cold case" on Jan. 1. Now, with help from the TNT "Cold Justice Team," the GCSO has made two arrests on two first degree murder indictments.

The victim, was murdered at his workplace on March 25, 2008.  Autopsy results indicated that Bryant died of blunt for trauma, and his manner of death was ruled as homicide.

On Thursday, July 11, 2013, Jose Luis Villarreal was arrested in the 900 blk of Alston Street in Hobbs, NM.  This just after two first degree murder indictments were handed down by the Gaines County 106th Grand Jury following the cold case.

Seven days later, July 18th, Patricia Rene Graves was arrested in Mineral Wells, TX

Both Graves and Villarreal were arrested for first degree murder.

Villarreal was taken to Lea County, NM Detention Center and arraigned on a $250,000 bond. He is currently in custody of Gaines County Sheriff's office.

Graves was taken to the Tarrant County, TX jail.
