(LUBBOCK, TX) - You could have all the donations in the world, but without volunteers like the Gipsons, wishes wouldn't come true.
"This is a once in a lifetime experience," Tiffany Gipson said.
Michael and Tiffany Gipson are wish granters for Make-A-Wish.
"We just decided that why not, why not give back? Why not be a part of that and give families hope," Tiffany added.
Wish granters are volunteers who help children identify their wish and bring it to life.
So far, the Gipsons have granted two wishes, including sending a little girl to Mexico to see her father for a final time.
"That was so incredibly fulfilling because she might not have gotten to see her dad before she wasn't here anymore."
In 2011, the Gipsons took a Make-A-Wish trip of their own.
The family of five went to Disney World.
It was their daughter Tristan's wish.
She suffers from a life-threatening medical condition.
"To look at the joy we felt, being a part of that and the wish party and getting to go to Disney World and to see our kids enjoy that, you know, why can't we share that joy and pass it on to others," Michael Gipson said.
Because they had such a good time, the Gipsons now donate their time and are looking forward to a second generation of Gipson wish granters.
"As she (Tristan) gets older, this is something she'll want to carry on because this is something that meant a lot to her and it means a lot to our family," Tiffany said.
