KAMC HD Storm Team Weather Webcast 5.9.17

Lubbock, TX - TODAY: Cloudy skies throughout today will keep our high temperatures on the cooler side again in the mid 70s. Storms will begin to develop during the late afternoon and continue to gain strength heading into the evening. Some of these storms could become severe and produce wind gusts up to 70 mph, hail up to 2 inches in diameter, and isolated tornadoes.

TONIGHT: The severe threat will persist overnight as another round of storms moves through between 2-4 AM. Large hail and gusty winds will be the main concerns overnight, but again isolated tornadoes can't be ruled out completely.

TOMORROW: Lingering storm activity in the Rolling Plains tomorrow morning and by the afternoon drier air will begin to mix into the South Plains. Temperatures will warm into the 80s with more sun by the second half of the day.

Have a great day and stay weather aware!
