KLBK Midday Web Forecast August 22, 2017

LUBBOCK, TX - Behind Wednesday's cold front, we're going to see more clouds than sunshine on Thursday afternoon. The morning lows will drop down into the mid and upper 60s for most locations. The afternoon will see lower highs, thanks to the front and the clouds. We're going to reach a high of 85° in the afternoon. Wind will be light and there will be an isolated storm leftover in the area at 10%.

By Friday, the coverage of storms will increase, but only slightly. We'll bump that up to 20%, with isolated storms coming back in the afternoon. Lows will stay in the mid 60s for most, upper 50s to the northwest. We'll have partly sunny skies in the afternoon, with a high of 84° in Lubbock. You'll notice the moisture in the air, so things will feel warmer than they actually are. Watch out for pockets of heavier rain with those storms.
