KLBK Midday Web Forecast August 25, 2017

LUBBOCK, TX - Drying will continue to occur by Sunday, so expect clouds to begin to clear out and give way to mostly sunny conditions. The wind will stay light, only sustained at 5-10 mph. It will be a relatively calm day on the South Plains, the same can not be said about the Gulf Coast. Expect Lubbock to see a high temperature of 84°.

The first day of school for Lubbock ISD is Monday. Things will work out to see a pretty nice day. We'll have temperatures in the low 60s to start the day. The afternoon is going to see sunny skies and very few clouds in the area. Lubbock is going to make it up to a high temperature of 83°. So, even though we'll get that sunshine, highs will stay well below average as we move through the end of August.
