November 27th, 2017 Evening Weather

Happy Monday everyone! It has been another beautiful and sunny day across the South Plains with highs moving into the upper 70's and low 80's. However, we have a dry cold front headed our way tonight through tomorrow morning that will drop our temperatures closer to average and bring us some very windy conditions. The combination of these strong winds and dry conditions will bring a higher risk of fire weather tomorrow so make sure to be cautious while barbecuing and ensure that cigarettes are put out properly. Temperatures will continue to drop, falling into the low 30's on Wednesday morning and then the mid-50's by Thursday afternoon before our next warming trend into the weekend. Don't forget to bring your pets and potted plants indoors and turn sprinklers off Tuesday evening before the freezing temperatures return. Despite our temperature fluctuations, sunshine will continue to be abundant through the beginning of next week.
