BrenShavia Jordan

BrenShavia Jordan joined KLBK as the host of Trends & Friends in June 2022 after moving from sister station KWKT Fox44.

While working as a reporter, she provided coverage on the Crittenburg Complex Fire, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s campaign trail in Waco. She also provided extensive coverage on Fort Hood Army Sergeant Daniel Perry, who was indicted for murder after shooting a 2020 Black Lives Matter protestor in Austin.

BrenShavia takes pride in going above and beyond for people in the community. She helped a family get FEMA assistance after the 2021 winter storm damaged their home. BrenShavia also helped a woman stuck in Honduras return to the U.S after the CDC banned dogs from returning due to high risk of rabies. In addition, she contributed to reuniting a man with the ashes of his best friend after it was confiscated at a TSA checkpoint because it was in a bullet-shaped pendant necklace.

BrenShavia is a native of Fort Worth and spent close to four years in Waco. She graduated from Baylor University and holds a degree in Journalism with a minor in Entrepreneurship. While attending Baylor she served as a reporter and anchor for Baylor’s Lariat TV News.

When she is not reporting, she loves spending time with her husband Quintin and their two children. BrenShavia is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

BrenShavia is passionate about storytelling and connecting with her local community. She is grateful to be a part of Trends & Friends and share all West Texas has to offer!
