Chris Whited rejoined the First Warning Weather Team full-time in February 2023 as the meteorologist on KLBK Bright & Early and KLBK News at Noon.
However, Chris has been a part of the KLBK news and weather family for well over a decade both on-air and off-air.
He joined KLBK in March 2011 as the weekend meteorologist and a weather producer. He served in that role for over three years.
In June 2014, he made the transition off-air and became a digital media coordinator for KLBK, KAMC and EverythingLubbock.com. Chris served in this role for over eight years. On occasion, he still made appearances on-air as a fill-in meteorologist on various KLBK newscasts.
Originally from Oneonta, Alabama, Chris graduated from Mississippi State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Geosciences, with concentration in Broadcast Meteorology. He also has a minor in Broadcast Communication.
Chris previously worked as meteorologist and a news reporter at television stations in Abilene, San Angelo and Meridian, Mississippi.
Chris is a fan of the Auburn Tigers.
