Landry joined the KLBK News Team as an MMJ Reporter in January 2022.
She grew up in the tiny town of Melrose, New Mexico, graduated in a class of only 16, then continued her education at Eastern New Mexico University where she studied Broadcast Journalism and Broadcast Production.
She graduated with honors in December 2021 with a bachelor’s in communication and a minor in general business. During her time there, she was blessed with the opportunity to work at KENW-PBS for three years, where she gained a tremendous amount of hands-on experience. Anchoring, reporting, shooting, editing, producing and interviewing are just the basics of what she was able to take part in.
She has a passion for storytelling and shining a light on the community. She earned multiple awards, including New Mexico Broadcaster’s Association (NMBA) Student Reporter of the year in 2020 and NMBA’s Student Producer of a Newscast in 2021.
In August 2020, Landry married her high school sweetheart, Sterling Sena. They hope to start a family in the future and go on all kinds of adventures.
Landry holds her faith at the highest priority; she loves her family, her pets, sports and all things journalism. She could not be more excited to call Lubbock home and be a part of the KLBK Team!
