LUBBOCK, Texas — On Wednesday, the Lubbock Police Department identified the victim of an overnight hit and run crash as 52-year-old Gloria Valdez. 

According to an LPD press release, investigators located a car matching the description of the car from the crash and impounded it around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. However, no suspect has been arrested. 

Police said the crash remains under investigation by the LPD Major Crash Investigation Unit.

The female pedestrian killed in last night’s hit and run crash has been identified as 52-year-old Gloria Valdez.

Early this morning, Lubbock Police Department major crash investigators began searching several areas for the suspect vehicle. Just before 9 a.m., investigators located a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban believed to be the suspect vehicle. The Suburban was parked in the parking lot of Motel 6 located at 909 66th Street and was impounded.

This crash remains under investigation by the LPD Major Crash Investigation Unit.
