UPDATED LINK: Police Locate Person of Interest in Murder Case
The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department :
(LUBBOCK, TX) – One person is in custody and another is wanted for questioning in connection with the death of 30-year old Matthew Pickett.
19-year-old Trayvion Deshawn Caro was taken into custody this evening by the Lubbock Police Department, arrested for murder.
Lubbock Police were called to 1314 65th drive, just before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9th for reports of criminal mischief.
While officers were on the scene, they were flagged down by family members of Pickett, who were conducting a welfare check on him at the time. Officers then located Pickett who was the victim of a gunshot injury.
At this time, investigators with the Lubbock Police Department’s Persons Crime Unit are looking for 41-year-old Arthur Moore Jr. Moore is considered a person of interest and is wanted for questioning in connection to this case.
The Lubbock Police Department asks that anyone with information, or knowledge of Moore’s location, call Crime Line at 741-1000.
