Early Friday morning, multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a report of a chase that ended in southeast Lubbock County.
The chase started in Garza County, and is related to a homicide in Bailey County DPS said.
The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office confirmed late-morning on Friday that Lucio Gollo Camacho, 46, of Muleshoe was arrested. He was charged with evading in a vehicle, resisting arrest and abandonment of child. However, officials have not yet said what role, if any, Camacho had in the homicide.
Around 2:00 a.m., the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist in a chase that was heading into Lubbock County.
According to the Garza County Sheriff, a chase started in Post just after 1:30 a.m.. He said the chase ended in Lubbock at a roadblock in front of Chisum’s Truck Stop on Highway 84.
The sheriff said one man was taken into custody. The Garza County Sheriff’s Office will investigate and file charges. He said the Texas Rangers are investigating as well.
DPS said Rangers are also assisting the Bailey County Sheriff’s Office with a homicide investigation that is somehow related to the chase.

Bond was not yet listed for Camacho on his jail booking sheet.
