After months of negotiations the Farm Bill has passed in Congress. The bill is headed to President Trump’s desk for his signature.
The last time a new Farm Bill was renewed in the same year it expired in was 10 years ago. Growers on the South Plains are praising lawmakers for getting the bill done because it will bring stability to farmers for the next five years.
As soon as the bill is signed, it will head to the United States Department of Agriculture for the rules and regulations to be written.
