LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) – The following is a news release from Lubbock Lemonade Day via Landtroop Strategies:
Lemonade Day 2019 is finally here! On Saturday, May 4th, hundreds of lemonade stands will be set up all across Lubbock by young entrepreneurs who are ready to “squeeze the day” on the 8th annual Lubbock Lemonade Day. With hours of planning, a variety of themes and creative ideas, recipes, and charities, area youth are ready to be open for business!
Kids and their mentors have been participating in all kinds of Lemonade Day fun this season leading up to this moment. They have registered their stands, made a plan for what to sell, where to locate their businesses, and how to serve customers. Many participated in Bank Loan Day, School Assemblies, and the Big Squeeze events to give their stands a head start. Through the Lemonade Day program, young entrepreneurs take their earnings, cover their business costs, repay any loans and learn to spend some, save some, and share some of their profits. Last year, average reported charitable donations exceeded $90 per stand!
We ask that the community turn out and participate in this community-wide event by buying three glasses of lemonade each, so that supply keeps pace with demand and kids have a positive first business experience. Thank you in advance as together we empower today’s young entrepreneurs to become tomorrow’s West Texas business owners.
Much like Halloween, please put safety first and remember to drive carefully with a watchful eye as thousands of young business owners are out making their business dreams a reality. See you May 4th!
