DAWSON COUNTY, Texas - A Brownfield man died Tuesday after a crash at an intersection northwest of Lamesa, according to the Department of Public Safety.
Anthony Sipple, 31, of Brownfield, was driving south on FM 829, approximately 15 miles northwest of Lamesa, DPS said. Around 6:39 a.m., his vehicle crashed into a truck tractor traveling west on FM 1064.
"Vehicle #1 [driven by Sipple] disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of FM 829 and FM 1064. Vehicle # 1 struck vehicle # 2," DPS said.
The other driver, Richard Oliver, 39, of Lubbock, was transported to Lamesa Medical Hospital with non- incapacitating injuries, DPS said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, DPS said. Road and weather conditions were dry and clear.
