LUBBOCK, Texas- Texas Tech athletics has named assistant coach Corey Williams the teams’ interim head coach for the Big 12 Tournament, the school announced Monday afternoon.
This comes after head coach Mark Adams was suspended indefinitely for a “inappropriate and racially insensitive comment” made to the team last week.
Texas Tech will play West Virginia in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
