The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a deadly crash at mile marker 24 along Interstate 27 Tuesday afternoon. The call came in just before 2:00 p.m.
DPS identified the driver as Keisha Mansell, 28, of Plainview.
DPS said a car was going southbound on the interstate.
“ For an unknown reason, the driver lost control and skidded into the center median. The Ford began to roll as it crossed the northbound lanes and ended up in the east ditch,” DPS said.
DPS said there were no other occupants, and Mansell was wearing a seat belt.
DPS also said it is an ongoing investigation.
The Texas Department of Transportation was blocking the main lanes onto the frontage roads at the crash site.
