LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department announced the passing of former LPD chief Donald Bridgers in a social post on Monday.

Bridgers served as LPD chief from May 1990 to January 1994, according to LPD’s social media post.

LPD said it was “saddened” to hear of his passing and extended their thoughts and prayers to Chief Bridgers’ family.
