The four victims injured in a home explosion on Thursday in Midland County have been identified.
Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter says the victims have been identified as:
- Auden Tercero, 32 years old
- Lucia Cereceres, 29 years old
- Delaney Tercero, 3 years old
- Dalayza Tercero, 2 years old
All four of the victims remains in critical condition at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
The explosion occurred around 10 a.m. Thursday at East County Road 150, about a half mile east of South County Road 1040.
At the scene, deputies discovered a woman and two small children with “severe burns,” according to a release from the MCSO.
A man was transported to the hospital a short time later.
Meanwhile, at the scene, the home was destroyed as charred debris littered the plot of land.
“Evidently, a pocket of gas built up underneath the mobile home and got into the mobile home,” Painter said. “It exploded, causing the double-wide mobile home to be completely disintegrated.”
Painter said the explosion was so powerful that residents up to 15 miles away felt the blast.
A GoFundMe was created to support the victims. Click here to donate.
