A Lubbock County grand jury indicted four people on Tuesday in connection to the murder of Tyshaun Bates.
The crime occurred around 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 at the Lubbock Square Apartments which are located in the 4600 block of 50th Street.
Daytron Hood and Christopher Thomas are both charged with murder.
Lisa Morales and Quawnard Williams are charged with aggravated robbery in connection to his death.
According to court documents, Morales entered Bates’ apartment to purchase marijuana.
She didn’t have enough money for the purchase and left the apartment to get more cash from her vehicle.
Court documents said two masked men (Hood and Bates) then entered the apartment.
There was an argument and Bates was shot.
They left the apartment and got into a getaway car being driven by Williams.
Williams was arrested on April 15 by Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Center investigators in connection to an unrelated case.
Daytron Hood was arrested on April 20 during a traffic stop by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office in Memphis.
Lisa Morales was arrested by the Lubbock Police Department on April 23.
Christopher Thomas was arrested by the Lubbock Police Department on April 26.
All four are being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center.
