The Texas Department of Public Safety arrested two people Thursday afternoon after a high-speed chase. The chase started before 2:30 p.m. in Lubbock County and went into Hockley County before ending in Central Lubbock.

DPS officials said a trooper tried to stop a motorcyclist for going more than 110 mph. However, the rider, later identified as Joshua Wayne Stone, evaded the trooper.

Authorities say Stone then left his bike and got into a vehicle with 32-year-old Angellica Nicol Riojas.

The chase ended at 39th Street and Toledo Avenue with help from Lubbock Police.

Stone, 36, now faces charges for evading with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.

Angellica Nicol Riojas, 32, was charged with hindering apprehension of a felon and driving with a suspended license.
