Hub City Veg Community to Host “Independence Day” Vegan Potluck in Maxey Park on July 8

Hub City Veg Community, a local vegan non-profit organization, is hosting an Independence Day vegan potluck picnic in Maxey Park on Saturday, July 8 at 7:00 p.m. Vegans and omnivores alike are welcome to attend the potluck and bring a dish! All dishes should be plant-based and should not include meat, dairy, or eggs. Participants should bring a recipe for each dish. Admission to this event is free for all ages. Bring a blanket and some sunscreen and join Hub City Veg Community at Maxey Park, located at 30th Street and Nashville Avenue., for an Independence Day potluck picnic.

Hub City Veg Community is a non-profit organization that provides support for plant-based eating in the South Plains region through events, outreach, and education.

Our programs are open to anyone interested in a plant-based diet. This is a welcoming, non-judgmental space for vegans and omnivores alike. We work to increase the visibility, as well as the availability, of vegan options in Lubbock and the surrounding area.
