LUBBOCK, Texas (PRESS RELEASE) — The following is a press release from the Lubbock Police Department:
The Major Crash Investigation Unit will conduct five follow-up crash investigations starting at 7:45 a.m. October 10.
The unit will start their investigations at 82nd Street and Primrose Avenue. The right east and westbound lanes of 82nd Street will remain open, but all other lanes will be closed. This operation is expected to take approximately an hour and a half.
The second follow-up investigation will be at 82nd Street and Avenue U. No traffic will be able to cross 82nd Street at Avenue U, and all eastbound lanes of 82nd Street will be closed. Westbound traffic on 82nd Street will be available in the right lane only. This operation is expected to take approximately 1 hour.
The third location will be in the 5000 block of Frankford Avenue. All southbound traffic on Frankford Avenue will be diverted west onto 50th Street. One lane of northbound traffic will remain open, while all other lanes are closed. This operation is expected to take 45 minutes.
The fourth location will be in the 3600 block of 50th Street. One lane will remain open for both eastbound and westbound traffic. All other lanes will be closed. This operation is expected to take 45 minutes.
The final location will be in the 1300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. Both northbound and southbound traffic will be diverted. This operation will take approximately 30 minutes.
Motorists are asked to avoid these areas and plan to use an alternate route since delays are expected.
