LPD investigating death Monday evening after check-welfare call

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department began a death investigation Monday after officers found a dead man during a check-welfare call.

According to LPD, officers responded to the 2800 block of North Quaker Avenue around 3:30 p.m.

LPD said the information was “extremely preliminary” and that more information would follow when it becomes available.
