Shooting in Northeast Lubbock leaves 1 dead, 3 others injured

LUBBOCK, Texas — Just before 2:30 Wednesday morning, Lubbock Police Department responded to a shooting at North Elder Ave and East Colgate Street.

It appeared a suspect targeted a vehicle with five male occupants inside and fired multiple shots, according to a press release.

Four of the occupants were injured and taken by EMS to University Medical Center with serious injuries. One of the four victims, Antoine Wilson, 18, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

This case is currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit.
