LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department released new information in a Tuesday afternoon pedestrian crash that left one person with serious injuries.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at 1:25 p.m. May 31 in the 3800 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway.
A Nissan Altima, driven by 23-year-old Jordan McCullough, was traveling eastbound in the 3800 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway, while 26-year-old Johnathon Lopez was attempting to cross Marsha Sharp Freeway on foot. The Altima struck Lopez, who was transported with serious injuries by ambulance to University Medical Center.
The investigation is on-going.
