Lubbock Christian School announces new baseball coach

Lubbock Christian School is excited to announce the hiring of its next head baseball coach, Brandon Walker.

Brandon Walker was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Frenship High School in 2012 where he played baseball and football. Upon graduation from Frenship, Coach Walker attended Hardin-Simmons University where he received a degree in Fitness Management and a Minor in Communications. While attending HSU Coach Walker played baseball for Coach Steve Coleman for all four years. After graduation from HSU in 2016, Coach Walker coached football and baseball while teaching English at Lubbock High School. After coaching a year at Lubbock High, Coach Walker coached for one year as the Assistant Head Coach at Trinidad State Junior College. TSJC went 47-12 and finished ranked 10th in the National Junior College Standings. 

As the oldest private school in the greater Lubbock area, Lubbock Christian School (LCS) began serving families in 1954. The initial classes on the current campus were held in 1958, and the Class of 1965 was the first to graduate from Lubbock Christian High School.  No church governs or subsidizes Lubbock Christian School, although the school was founded and is directed by members of Churches of Christ. LCS offers classes for Pre-kindergarten through 12th grades. The school is fully accredited through AdvancEd and the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC), which is fully approved and recognized by the Texas Education Agency.  LCS welcomes families of all faiths and admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
