Garrett Austin Malone was sentenced Friday to less than four years in federal prison. Malone took a plea deal in September for conspiracy to possess stolen mail.
Malone admitted that he broke into three U.S. Postal Service blue boxes and about 50 residential or commercial mail boxes. Malone admitted that he acquired people’s personal information from the stolen mail and he would sell the information on the dark web.
