Lubbock Police were called to the report of a dead body in a home in the 1300 block of 23rd Street just before 1:00 pm Wednesday.
Shortly thereafter, police put crime tape. The police front desk confirmed that homicide investigators were asked to respond.
A police spokesman provided a brief update and said patrol officers found a man dead inside. He said, “They discovered some stuff that just didn’t seem right to them.”
So, they called for investigators. The call first came in when a friend found the man. Police have not yet confirmed his identity and they have not released his age or even an estimated age.
Police asked the office of medical examiner to come to the scene. So far, the situation is classified as a death investigation.
