An individual was transported to the hospital late Sunday afternoon in connect to a reported stabbing in East Lubbock. 

The Lubbock Police Department told EverythingLubbock.com the incident occurred around 5:10 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of East 30th Street in response to a report of shots fired. 

When officers arrived on the scene and began their investigation, they discovered an individual had been stabbed and left the scene on foot. 

LPD said officers later located the victim in the 1800 block of East 28th Street. 

The victim’s injuries were said the serious/critical, but police did not say if they were life-threatening.
