Lubbock Police said the “person of interest” in the March 9 shooting death of Matthew Pickett, 30, has been located.  

Arthur Moore Jr., 41, was located Wednesday morning according to Lubbock Police.  Another man, Trayvion Deshawn Caro, 19, was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with murder.

The arrest warrant against Caro said Moore was seen going into a residence with Pickett prior to the shooting.  Right after Moore left, Caro showed up.  

As of this time, Police have not accused Moore of participating in the murder, but rather, he was described as a person of interest.

LPD Persons Crime Investigation Continues

(LUBBOCK, TX) – Lubbock Police have located 41-year-old Arthur Moore Jr.

Moore is considered a person of interest and was wanted for questioning in connection to the death of 30-year old Matthew Pickett.  

Lubbock Police were called to 1314 65th drive, just before 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9th for reports of criminal mischief.  

While officers were on the scene, they were flagged down by family members of Pickett, who were conducting a welfare check on him at the time. Officers then located Pickett who was the victim of a gunshot injury.
