Ribbon-cutting for new walking/jogging trail at Jan Jennings Park on May 16

LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) – The following is a news release from the Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department:

Parks and Recreation will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. to commemorate the completion of a walking/jogging trail at Jan Jennings Park. The public is invited to attend and try out the one-mile cinder walking trail. The ceremony will be held at the playground at Jan Jennings Park on 77th Street and Wayne Avenue. 

Parks and Recreation has more than 30 walking trails at parks throughout the city. For more information about walking trails in our parks, visit www.playlubbock.com and click on the Interactive Parks Map.
