On Thursday, Clinton Scott Townsend, 43, was sentenced to 33 years in prison on one count of Aggravated Robbery.

Around noon on November 28, 2016, Lubbock Police Department responded to a robbery at the EZ Mart on the 5400 block of 50th street. According to a police report, Townsend walked into the EZ Mart and demanded money while holding the cashier at gunpoint.

According to Lubbock Police Department, Townsend was arrested on November 30, 2016.

Townsend was also the suspect in an aggravated robbery that occurred at the very same convenience store on November 29, 2016. The indictment said Townsend was subject to a higher prison sentence due to a previous conviction in New York.
