The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles intervened in the Reagor Dykes bankruptcy Wednesday afternoon filing a copy of two letters.

One letter was sent to the court-appointed Chief Restructuring Officer who now oversees Reagor Dykes. A second letter was sent to ten companies that have financed RD vehicle sales.

Both letters call for titles to be signed over immediately to “innocent buyers.”

The DMV said roughly 100 consumers filed complaints because they purchased vehicles, but titles were not turned over.

The DMV said this issue has already been litigated in previous court cases.  The DMV said neither the dealerships nor lending companies have the right to withhold titles innocent customers.
