Two arrested after law-enforcement chase Tuesday afternoon

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office released information Tuesday evening about a chase that occurred earlier in the day.  Two suspects were arrested.

The following is the official statement from LCSO:

At approximately 2:50 PM, December 4, 2018, Lubbock County Sheriff’s deputy responded to
601 E CR 7300 in reference to stolen checks.

When deputies arrived, they received information that the individual was at a different location. Deputies located the subject in a vehicle who then fled from deputies and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued into Lynn County who took over the pursuit. The subject then headed back into Lubbock County when he lost control at the intersection of Woodrow Rd & FM 179.

The driver then fled on foot. A female passenger was detain at the scene. With the help of LSO SWAT and DPS, the male subject was located hiding in the brushes and taken into custody without incident. Both individuals were transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.

This was the first of two law enforcement chases in Lubbock County on Tuesday.
