LUBBOCK, Texas – Lubbock Police are investigating an overnight accident on Interstate 27, after a car crashed into a wall.
Officers responded to the crash in the 1100 block of I-27 around 2:30 a.m. on Monday. They found one car had run into a wall in the northbound lanes.
According to police, one person was seriously injured.
LPD said only one car was involved in the crash, but they are still investigating how it happened.

The Lubbock Police Department is investigating an early morning crash that sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
At 2:20 a.m. Monday morning, a SUV was headed eastbound in the 1100 block of 58th Street. The driver crossed the southbound access road and over the main lanes of Interstate 27. The SUV continued traveling across the northbound on-ramp and struck a retainer wall.
The 25-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the SUV was taken by EMS to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by LPD crash investigators.
