Tire Blowout Leads to Jackknife and Deadly Wreck

The Texas Department of Public Safety on Monday released information about a deadly crash that happened Sunday afternoon in Callahan County.

DPS said Kimberly Belinda Carrillo, 46, of El Paso lost her life after the crash.  She was pronounced dead at Hendrick Medical Center.

DPS said Aubrey Cossiah, 42, of Conyers, Georgia was driving a semi-truck along Interstate 20 near mile marker 314.  DPS said the truck suffered a tire blowout which caused the truck to jackknife. 

DPS said Carillo was driving a passenger car that was going the opposite direction as the truck.  The truck struck the car after jackknifing, according to DPS.

Road conditions were wet according to DPS and both drivers were using seat belts.
