Terry Co. Sheriff Larry Gilbreath retires

BROWNFIELD, Texas — The Terry County Commissioners Court on Monday accepted the retirement of Sheriff Larry Gilbreath, effective on Tuesday.

Gilbreath told EverythingLubbock.com that a resignation letter was required. Chief Deputy Timothy Click will fill the unexpired term. Gilbreath has been the sheriff for more than 10 years.

The election for his permanent replacement will be in November 2020.
